Generation: Unfolding the Ideas

To really help a community address their challenges, we all need to work together to generate better, more effective ideas and ways of working that move communities and projects forward.

That’s why NextPlays brings all the stakeholders together (communities, businesses and agencies) to share experiences and resources and to generate better real-world project ideas and development strategies. Meaningful collaborative strategies don’t just lead to better engagement, they generate tangible success and shared value for all.

We apply a unique naturally-inspired approach, alongside case studies to stimulate breakthroughs and achieve robust, structured and systemic ideas. We then layer the ideas into “portfolios” of community innovations that are realistically supported by the ecosystems of the communities themselves. We draw on what people know and are familiar with, to change where they can go together.

Structured as Community Social Enterprise Pathways that build and share value as they progress for the community and for the businesses and agencies that support them.

  • We appraise project ideas and develop Community Social Enterprise Pathways;
  • We link projects to Impact Reporting and Investment Standards*;
  • We create sustainability policy frameworks with objectives, stretch goals and targets.
*The Global Impact Investment Network Impact Reporting & Investment Standards, or IRIS, is a common language for describing the social and environmental performance of an organisation.  IRIS provides an independent and credible set of metrics for organisations to use when reporting their impact.  IRIS indicators span an array of performance objectives and include specialised metrics for a range of sectors including financial services, agriculture, and energy. Like financial accounting standards, IRIS provides a basis for performance reporting.
